• Provided legal advice to the Commanding General and staff of a large Army Medical Center and his staff; • Senior attorney for the hospital, advising and supervising advice on all Army administrative and civil law, criminal law, claims including medical malpractice and third party recovery, legal assistance, and medico-legal matters;• Personally advised in labor and employment law actions, including Equal Employment Opportunity and Merit System Protection Board complaints, civilian employee disciplinary actions, provider credentialing actions, and, administrative and union grievances;• Supervised three civilian attorneys and four paralegals;• Served as the command’s Senior Ethics Counselor and managed its ethics program, financial disclosure report program, and ethics training.

• Served as Principal Assistant to the Staff Judge Advocate of the Nation’s only deployed Army Service Component Command directly supporting operations in Iraq and Afghanistan;• Routinely provided legal advice to the three-star Commanding General, two-star Deputy Commanding General, and staff on administrative and civil law, contract and fiscal law, environmental law, criminal law, operational law, claims, and detainee operations;• Managing Attorney supervising day-to-day operations for over 25 military attorneys in five legal offices conducting split operations in Kuwait and Atlanta.• Legal Counsel for the “Super” Contract Acquisition Review Board, a senior committee that reviewed, prioritized, and approved multi-million dollar acquisitions/procurements of goods and services for operations in Iraq and Afghanistan.

• Served as Principal Assistant to the Staff Judge Advocate for the Army’s Signal Center and Fort Gordon, Georgia;• Provided comprehensive legal advice to the Garrison Commander and staff directorates, furthering the Installation Management Command mission of administering an installation and its diverse community of over 60,000 persons;• Managing Attorney supervising day-to-day operations for over 23 attorneys and 35 support personnel.

• Provided legal advice to a Brigade Task Force Commander and staff responsible for Operation Iraqi Freedom combat and stability operations in Kirkuk and Sulaymaniah Provinces, Iraq; • Served as Team Government Officer-in-Charge, a liaison to the Kirkuk Provincial Governor and Legislature, providing advice on democratization and development to political and religious leaders with an ethnically volatile population base of over 1 million and stewardship over 5.3% of the world’s oil.• Supervised one attorney, one Infantry officer, five paralegals, and 25 interpreters.

• Provided legal advice and services to all Army installation activities in Hawaii including the 25th Infantry Division and subordinate commands, including a full Garrison staff and tenant activities; • Responsible for Division-level and below legal support in contract law, environmental and property law, and labor and employment law, supervising three civilian and two military attorneys;• Filled a no-notice leadership void as Military Justice Chief, responsible for all Army criminal law actions in Hawaii, and supervising five prosecutors and nine paralegals.

• Led criminal defense services for more than 16,000 Soldiers in the 2d Infantry Division; • Supervised four trial attorneys, and personally maintained a full client load of Soldiers and senior leaders.

• Principal Assistant and legal advisor to the Commandant of the Defense Department’s treasured educational institute for diversity, equal opportunity, and equal employment opportunity, assisting with personnel, training, instruction, logistics, budget, curriculum development, research, liaisons with Services, and assistance to U.S. and international organizations;• Performed as platform instructor, live and through satellite distance learning programs, specializing in investigations, extremism, and affirmative action;• Served as Small Group Instructor for two 15-week cycles of the Equal Opportunity Advisor Course.

Served in various positions in multiple locations as an Army attorney, including:• Provided criminal defense services for all Army personnel in Italy and Turkey;• Provided legal advice to the Joint Task Force Commander responsible for all U.S. military operations in Honduras; • Prosecuted courts-martial for up to five command jurisdictions at any given time during almost three years in Panama;• Served as class leader for a US Army Judge Advocate Basic Course.
