Ann Samuelson is a Product at Gem at Gem. As a Product Manager for the Platform Engineering team, she pushed forward on the dedupe and relevancy projects, working directly with the engineers and data scientist on the team to create specifications and tasks with an eye on the larger goal: providing a better user experience by allowing users to compare prices for a specific listing across partner sites and displaying the best of those listings above the fold. Both projects have been game-changers for the company. It's one thing to be an excellent Product Manager when there are a lot of engineers to work with, and another to make the most of resource constraints. Ann has worked with the rest of Product, Program, and Engineering management to build out a roadmap focusing on smaller wins that, if successful, would be built out further.
