Assigned to BART’s Maintenance and Engineering acting as Project Manager for the Operations Control Center (OCC) Modernization and M&E Lab Relocation Program. This program is compiled of a handful of projects which require extensive coordination and technical components across all disciplines under a constrained schedule. BART’s OCC functions as the nerve center for BART, performing supervisory control of train operations and remote control of electrification, ventilation and emergency response systems, and operates 24/7/365. This modernization will take place without impact to the operational environment.

Acting Division Manager of Construction Engineering Services (Maintenance and Engineering) overseeing all contracted Maintenance and Engineering Projects. Responsible for Construction Management and execution of all contracted projects. Projects within this program fall into 4 major categories: Traction Power (1.25B $ program), Mechanical (135M $ program), Track/Civil (625M $ program) and Structural ($570M $ program). Projects range from 500K to 100M+ in all counties throughout the Bay Area and are focused in the existing operating system which require a large amount of coordination and involvement with stakeholders internal and external. In my acting role I manage and oversee a team of 15 full time BART engineers and over 80+ consultants in office and field.

Responsible in charge for all contracted Track projects within the $625M portion of the RR Bond Program. Manage a team of over 15 staff including engineers, inspectors and administration assistants and over 50 contractor employees. All projects are being constructed in an operating right of way requiring an in-depth knowledge in BART’s OR&P, CPUC GO 175, FRA CFR 213, BART Book 3/Book 36 and Book 425 as well as in-depth understanding of AREMA standards. My knowledge and coordination span across all disciplines including Transportation Planning, Operations, System Safety, Civil, Structural, Track, Mechanical, Traction Power, Train Control and Grounds. Below is highlight of some of my key projects and involvement administration assistants in addition to consultants supporting design. A few key highlighted projects are shown below:K Line Interlocking Renewal (15CQ-008) – Directly managing and aiding design effort for the roughly $150 million K Line Interlocking Renewal Project which includes the replacement of 32 mainline switches, new standard track and associated traction power appurtenances, new 34.5KV infrastructure, and new wayside train control.C35 Interlocking Renewal (15CQ-110) – Resident Engineer serving as district representative for the execution of this $13.2 million Interlocking renewal project which includes enabling works, track renewal and Traction Power and Train Control wayside renewalRail Procurement (15CQ-200A) – Directly managing and administering the RR Funded $20 million Rail Procurement contract supplying the district with over 10000 tons of running rail and special trackwork components over the next 5 years. Oversee and act as approving authority for all materials accepted including plant inspections.

Working as a part of the Maintenance and Engineering Department - Construction Division at Bay Area Rapid Transit District. Acting as Resident Engineer for Track Renewal Projects for Measure RR.Projects include:M03 Interlocking Renewal (15CQ-100) – Resident Engineer serving as district representative for execution of this $6.5 million Track project that included replacement of a universal #15 crossover and #15 right hand switch including all wayside train control and traction power appurtenances. This contract work was completed in 4 weekend shutdowns on schedule and under budget. Directly managed a staff of 5 engineers and inspectors including a construction staff of over 50 employees from NTP through closeout including final inspection and acceptance. Administered and executed the assigned projects in compliance with the Districts Resident Engineers manual within an operating right of way.

Working as Resident Engineer to assist BART (Bay Area Rapid Transit) in program and construction management for track infrastructure rebuilding in support of the recent Measure RR Bond. This work includes replacing numerous key interlockings located throughout the 107 mile Bart System.As Resident Engineer my roles include and not limited to:•Assisting in Planning, permitting, scheduling, coordination and constructability reviews for upcoming track infrastructure rebuilding both in house and contracted.•Assisting with administering construction contracts by monitoring/inspecting contractor’s work for compliance with plans, specifications, and schedules. •Establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with all parties including assisting with construction management activities by participating in and conducting planning, preconstruction, coordination, progress, scheduling, and field staff meetings. •Preparing project documentation including inspector’s daily report, force account and construction records, reviewing plans specifications and updating logs in regard to RFIs, submittals, and shop drawings, and change orders, making field measurements and maintaining as-built drawing records.•Ensuring all operations, measurements, and inspections are scheduled, ordered, and satisfactorily completed and documented.• Assisting in the approval of contractor payments by verifying, reviewing, and preparing quantity and progress estimates and payment forms for payments. • Assisting in negotiating and preparing documentation for change order or claims by reviewing and evaluating change order request or claims, preparing engineer’s estimate for change order, and maintaining records on unit price quantities for material, labor, and equipment.

Contributing as an integral part of the AECOM (formerly URS) engineering team working ontransportation/transit projects of all types around the Bay Area. Current projects include but not limited to:• D3 Maintenance Yard Reactivation, AC Transit, Richmond, CA: Project engineer for the PM/CM team to help manage and coordinate design, procurement and construction for the reactivation of the AC Transit D3 Maintenance Facility in Richmond, Ca. Duties include coordination and participation in all aspects of daily work on behalf of the agency, which include but not limited to design review, design/construction coordination and overall program and construction management duties. • Caltrain Modernization (CalMod) Program, PCJPB, San Mateo, CA: Support of the owners representative team on Caltrain’s Design-Build Peninsula Corridor Electrification Project (PCEP). Project responsibilities include engineering and management of the right-of-way engineering services to prepare final right-of-way plans of the entire 52 mile Caltrain corridor and development of appraisal maps, plats, and legal descriptions for the required right-of-way acquisitions needed to accommodate the proposed OCS poles and foundations, and adjacent station. • Highway 1 Preliminary Planning Study, San Mateo County, CA: Lead engineer developing alternatives for multiple pedestrian crossings along the Highway 1 corridor between Pacifica and Half moon Bay. Collaborating with stakeholders and community members to develop safe designs to help with traffic calming in areas of high recreation use. Production of designs and technical reports.• SR 85 Express Lanes, SCVTA, CA: Contributing as an integral part of the engineering team throughout the PA/ED Phase of the SR 85 Project which proposes to add and incorporate Express lanes to the 33.7 miles of SR 85 between South San Jose and Mountain View. Creating engineering cost estimates, helping to compile and produce reports, fact sheets and technical drawings.

• Milbrae School District Renovation Program, Lomita Park and Green Hills Elementary Schools, Millbrae, CA: Project Engineer Intern on site working to plan, contract, budget and schedule projects. Involved in all aspects of daily construction activities and worked closely with project teams to execute completion of modernization project on time and budget. Collaborating daily with engineers, architects, subcontractors, clients and inspectors to ensure quality project delivery. Help to generate and provide necessary direction for RFI’s after reviewing against contract documents. Produce and track all aspects of project documentation (CCO’s, PCO’s, RFI’s, Submittals, etc.)• Via West Cafeteria Renovation, Via West, Cupertino, CA: Assisted in project development and management of subcontractors to oversee volunteer undertaking with the help from AGC to renovate the existing cafeteria space for the Via West Campus.
