• Identified and qualified early stage companies as potential investments. Sourced (made initial contact with) about 1/4th of SV’s new US therapeutics investments since 2005• Led due diligence on all aspects of potential investments using internal and external resources: preclinical and clinical data and development plans, biostatistics, market and commercialization plans, potential exits and returns, intellectual property, legal diligence• Negotiated terms of investment and/or coordinated closings for ~15 new investments• Supported portfolio companies in various aspects of company strategy including 15+ follow-on financings and M&A exits• Led firm effort to understand diagnostics industry and evaluate potential investments in the sector• Served as board member or observer of several portfolio companies, including Ocular Therapeutix, Halscion, Alba Therapeutics, Juvaris Biotherapeutics, Logical Therapeutics, Sapphire Therapeutics (acquired by Helsinn), Confluent Surgical (acquired by Covidien)
