In April, I was promoted to Editor in Chief, overseeing all written content across F1, F2, F3, W Series, Formula E and Extreme E. FormulaNerds are media accredited for all mentioned series except for F1.As a member of the Senior Leadership Team, I manage a group of 17, which includes the Editorial and Journalist Teams.In my role, I maintain the flow of news to the FormulaNerds website through organising the weekly schedule, analyse traffic and reach to determine which approaches are most beneficial, and uphold the standards of FormulaNerds' written content. As such, I have implemented a style guide to ensure consistency and enhance quality.I am also responsible for - along with my Editorial colleagues - proofreading and editing output to maintain FormulaNerds' high standards.

FormulaNerds secured full media accreditation for FIA F2 and FIA F3 for the 2022 season. I stepped into the role of F2 & F3 Editor to oversee our FormulaNerds' content on both of F1's primary feeder series championships.The duties associated with the role include participating in virtual media roundtables and post-session press conferences for both F2 & F3, as well as operating as FormulaNerds' touchpoint for F2/F3 and each respective team's PR.Whilst working in the paddock for a number of championship events during the 2022 season as a reporter and written journalist (detailed under the 'Writer' section of my FormulaNerds experience), I secured a number of exclusives with drivers in both championships, passing many of these interviews to my team to produce articles from.

In December 2021, I became a panellist for both of FormulaNerds' podcast shows: The Cut to the Race podcast and the News from the Nerds show.The Cut to the Race podcast is FormulaNerds' feature show, which includes race reviews of every F1 Grand Prix weekend, interviews with personalities from the world of Motorsport, and specials on a range of subjects, such as the greatest conspiracy theories in Formula One.News from the Nerds is a weekly mid-week podcast on the latest developments and talking points within the world of F1 (amongst other championships).I have hosted both FormulaNerds podcast shows on multiple occasions and I am a permanent member of both panels.All of FormulaNerds' podcast shows are available here:https://podfollow.com/cut-to-the-race-f1-podcast/view

I joined FormulaNerds as an F1 Writer towards the end of the infamous 2021 season, providing the opportunity to cover the most intense and controversial climax to a Formula One season in the sport's history.Since then, I have diversified my portfolio as a writer for FormulaNerds. I have authored over 170 articles across a wide range of subjects, including breaking news, features, op-eds and session reports. During that time, I have covered and written about F1, F2, F3 and Formula E. My writing has amassed hundreds of thousands of views globally.I am a media-accredited journalist across F2, F3, and Formula E. At Houston, my responsibilities included writing and editing copy and opinion editorials, producing compelling thought leadership ideas, crisis management and liaising with journalists on behalf of key clients.I specialised in corporate and capital markets PR, operating as the touchpoint for my clients into Houston. This included organising the account and ensuring the flow of work remained consistent, through managing upwards and downwards between directors and executives.In addition, I worked on a number of new business opportunities and pitches and notably wrote a keynote speech for the CEO of a key client.Working closely (and attentively) with both external clients and internal stakeholders on their requirements led to highly successful partnerships, as well as further developing my stakeholder management skills and my ability to work on dynamic projects with rapidly changing scenarios.

In this role, I was primarily responsible for delivering Brokerage change initiatives, further expanding the proposition and owning the Brokerage product channel and backlog. In addition to this, I was tasked with a range of other duties, including signing-off on Fidelity’s brokerage-related content, assisting on complex queries and managing any issues that arose.I was instrumental in the development and delivery of a range of improvements, such as introducing live-traded European investments to the Fidelity platform, launching online deal cancellations, and furthering key strategic projects on IPOs and multi-currency functionality.My role included chairing and presenting in meetings, and direct involvement in the Brokerage decision-making process, such as advising on the decision to move the Brokerage Specialist role from Client Services into a newly formed Brokerage Hub.A key responsibility of my role was to understand the wants, needs and behaviours of clients, advocate on their behalf to address pain points, and ensure the product remained competitive.

As a senior associate, my position involved helping personal investing clients, and investment professionals using Fidelity's FundsNetwork offering, with queries relating to the brokerage assets on the Fidelity platform. As a new team, my role also involved growing the Brokerage proposition and further establishing best practices and working to enhance the service Fidelity provides to clients.The Brokerage Specialist Team was a small unit of four, working both individually and as a team to resolve cases. This also involved collaboration and assistance from teams across Fidelity.I corresponded with clients both in writing and by phone. My role included placing live-traded deals over the phone and assisting clients in placing deals online.The role allowed me to develop a deeper appreciation of the relationship between the political environment, stock market, and health of the economy during a politically turbulent time.

My position entailed assisting financial advisors, and their staff, with Fidelity’s FundsNetwork platform, primarily through problem-solving and guidance over the phone. I also spoke with personal investing clients, and as such would place deals over the phone for them and assist with any queries or issues they had with the Fidelity platform.The role helped enhance my investigative and research skills, and further develop my ability to think quickly and make correct judgement calls under pressure.I took on additional responsibilities outside the immediate remit of my role, including meeting with members of the Global Operating Committee to exemplify the work done by teams within client services. I also became a go-to person for FundsNetwork queries.

Seven Hills is an public relations and communications company that was founded in 2010 by Nick Giles and Michael Hayman MBE. Seven Hills turn mission into momentum, through creating campaigns that are a force for good, both in business and society. For the duration of my internship I was assigned to the Vonage UK account. Seven Hills have recently aided Vonage UK in creating the Home Business 100 community. This group of 100 top home businesses acts as a forum for insight, advice and best practice. On the 8th of September, Seven Hills supported Vonage UK at Home Business 100 Live and helped launch 'The Heart of Home Business Britain', a data-led report on the critical contribution of home business to the UK economy. The principal emphasis of my work at Seven Hills was to help my colleagues organise Home Business 100 Live, secure attendees and manage the social media channels. Including supporting the Home Business 100 Live event in a variety of ways, and my work on the Vonage UK account generally, I wrote a website piece for Seven Hills on the Peter Jones Foundation charity golf day, transcribed interviews and undertook a range of different tasks on multiple Seven Hills accounts. I thoroughly enjoyed my time at Seven Hills, which I believe has helped me further develop key competencies, allow for experience in a professional workplace environment and provide me with a greater understanding of how PR works and operates.

I worked at the Falmouth branch of Sainsbury’s to support myself during my undergraduate degree. I predominantly worked as a sales assistant in the bakery department, but frequently took overtime on the checkout department. My job at Sainsbury’s involved working as part of large team in order to ensure that each department of the store worked as efficiently and effectively as possible. This shows that I am able to work in a team to achieve high levels of performance. In addition to this, working at busy periods, such as around Christmas, has equipped me with the ability to work in high pressure situations. During the summer of 2015, I regularly worked between 12-15 hours a day, 6-7 days a week. This often entailed getting to work before 7am and leaving after 10pm. I believe this shows that I am well-suited to the demands of working in a professional environment.

I worked at WHSmith in Croydon for the duration of my A Levels and as a temp during my first year of University. I was a sales assistant in the books department.I often helped manage the department on weekends when my supervisor was away. This involved delegating tasks to other members of staff and ensuring the department functioned to a high level. My job involved providing exceptional customer service, training new members of staff and dealing with a variety of customer issues. Additionally, I was the designated Kobo representative for our store. This directly involved sales-based targets that I consistently surpassed. I believe that this role has helped me develop into an approachable, personable and motivated individual with an adaptable skill set.
