Wrote a Visual Basic post-processor to convert Unigraphics toolpaths to quaternion coordinates to be used by ABB Robotstudio in the design of Robotics toolpaths. Performed analysis of edge milling fixtures to determine optimal choice and placement of pneumatic lift assist. Designed and implemented pneumatic lift system and hydraulic clamping system. These improvements to the edge mill fixtures simplify and speed up the process of preparing parts for the milling operation as well as improving ergonomics and decreasing operator strain.
