Seconded by Aecon to the Crosslinx Transit Solutions consortium to deliver the Eglinton Crosstown LRT. Lead Construction Engineer for Kennedy Station, which is the Eastern terminal station with key interchanges to TTC subway, Scarborough Rapid Transit, buses and commuter rail.The Crosstown is a $5.3 billion light rail transit (LRT) project to improve public transit in Toronto, Canada. The Crosstown LRT line will run across Eglinton Avenue between Mount Dennis (Weston Road) and Kennedy Station. This 19-kilometre corridor will include a 10-kilometre underground portion, between Keele Street and Laird Drive.

Leading a team of 4 site engineers in the delivery of 3-waters, structures, retaining wall and road construction projects in Christchurch, New Zealand. Responsible for:• Construction management of structural construction crews and subcontractors• Producing and managing construction programme• Control of project budgets, cost reporting, forecasting, managing change control and coordinating procurement and suppliers• Providing technical leadership to site engineers• Managing project closeout and handover to client

In the role of site engineer I managed all aspects of the planning and construction of civil infrastructure, managing both subcontractor and self-performance construction teams to ensure that the project was delivered safely, to the required quality standards and within budgetary and programme constraints. To ensure the required standards of health & safety, quality and environmental management I was responsible for producing key deliverables such as Construction Work Plans, Inspection & Test Plans and Job Safety & Environmental Analyses.I was also involved in the programming and cost management of projects, producing and updating construction programmes, recording progress and achievement for projects and agreeing monthly subcontractor claims and assisting with forecast cost to complete exercises.

Worked in various roles, on both Opex and Capex streams to deliver asset management and improvement/renewal projects for railway infrastructure in the UK.Fulfilled roles incorporating project management, design, construction management, project engineering, maintenance/operations and asset management.

In support of my university studies I undertook vacation work (two 4 month placements) as a Project Engineer working in a Water and Waste Water Engineering Consultancy. I was responsible for a section of work implementing a hydraulic performance and leakage modelling system for Severn Trent Water, including producing schematic diagrams (CAD) and preparing other key deliverables, testing and development of the hydraulic performance and leakage model and database (Netbase). I was also responsible for a data analysis and modelling project for Thames Water.June - September 2007June - September 2008
