Applying data science tools and techniques to investment data and predict potential cases of fraud.

Responsible for understanding business needs for BI’s Electronic Monitoring customers and creating and implementing analytic solutions to address those needs. This includes improving data quality, creating appropriate metrics and efficient algorithms, developing and creating data marts, building analytic solutions in terms of business intelligence reporting and analytic modeling to address those needs. I also am responsible for implementing analytic solutions to improve operational efficiency throughout BI.

Access large data sources, conduct data mining activities, build predictive models using a host of analytical tools to glean insights from the data and produce actionable results and communicate the story using a variety of graphical illustrations and reports. Build analytical tools for customer self-help applications. Using spatial analysis tools, conduct risk assessment analyses to determine potential high-risk situations in proximity of geographic areas of interest.

Perform Advanced Analytics functions for Schwab business units, including client behavioral diagnostics & reporting, client profiling & segmentation, marketing & sales analysis, econometric analysis, propensity modeling & scoring and analytical consulting.

Supports internal needs & consults w/ the analytic community in creating data extracts & reports, analyzing data content & quality, & in creating new "tools" for data reporting or evaluation (e.g. new programs to improve evaluation/measurements of data quality).Creates ad hoc/regular reports for internal Business Intelligence Solutions & external customers. Makes recommendations or develops approaches to use most efficient tools / data sources to achieve desired outcomes.Recommends/develops data management practices which guide overall processes for evaluating data integrity (routine & other), & also implements or performs these processes as appropriate.Uses in-depth knowledge of data content & structures, as well as business practices, to consult regularly w/ the analytic community & others on "best" approaches for extracting, analyzing, & interpreting data from the region's data repositories.

Conducts statistical analyses to support Colorado Permanente Medical Group's (CPMG) Value Metrics department's goals and accountabilities. Partners with customers and colleagues to empirically articulate CPMG's cost effectiveness and value relative to the marketplace.

Managed Catalina’s Analytical Services department, conducted comparative analyses of marketing programs, presented results to pharmaceutical clients, hired staff, managed department's budget, conducted ROI/NPV analyses, and researched new and innovative decision science techniques.

Delivered technical and client support of SAS’ data mining tool (Enterprise Miner). Assisted the sales department through sales/technical support to increase client sales.

I held various jobs and titles over this period. I worked in Yellow Pages, Information Systems, Revenues & Public Affairs, and Marketing. My role was primarily a statistician and financial analyst. I conducted statistical analyses (modeling building, impact analyses, etc.) and financial analyses (NPV, IRR, etc.).
