I work hard to enable a clean transportation future.As a Scientist at Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory, I launched the MyGreenCar project and lead the team that is bringing it to reality. MyGreenCar will fundamentally change the financial decision-making process for car buyers while helping to lower their carbon footprint. It’s an app, powered by sophisticated vehicle physics models, to help car buyers compare cars on fuel economy, fuel costs, and EV range, personalized to their own driving. I have worked in the transportation, mobility, and automotive field for over a decade – I understand the motivations of stakeholders. I have extensive R&D fundraising experience.I take on progressively bigger challenges. In college, I launched a team that built a solar powered car. I was chosen as a Finalist for the Top 20 Under 20, and honored in the Canadian House of Commons for my leadership. In grad school, I worked in leadership of student governments and advocated on Capitol Hill for higher education. In my professional life, I learned fast, built teams, became a Scientist at Berkeley Lab, and launched a research program that was honored with an R&D100 award. I've had epic failures along the way, learned, and continue to refine my approach. My research has shaped policy and directions in clean transportation across industry and government agencies in California and at the Federal level.I have a firm technical grounding. My Ph.D is in Mechanical Engineering, specializing in vehicle powertrain systems. I am proficient in many programming languages, web development, graphic design, video editing, and more. In leading the MyGreenCar team, I have become proficient with the application of IT and cloud computing systems for large-scale problems.
