As a passionate developer with over six years of experience, I have honed my skills across a variety of disciplines, focusing primarily on Progressive Web Apps and Artificial Intelligence. My journey has been marked by continuous learning, practical application, and a dedication to advancing my expertise. My academic background, including a BSc in Cyber Security and dissertation in Artificial Intelligence, complements my hands-on experience in the field.To show off some of my projects, I host an Interactive Portfolio built using .NET Blazor, which contains projects ranging from an Evolution Algorithm sandbox environment, to Chat Bots, to Crypto Currency management tools:https://samdenton.tech/I'm comfortable working in any language, I often learn new technologies based on the needs of the project I am working on. I'm most proficient in C#, JavaScript and PHP, with some experience using C++, Python, MSHTA and others. I have extensive experience using SPA frameworks such as Vue.JS and Vue-router, Blazor WASM and React.JS. I enjoy taking on projects in new languages and frameworks, making use of GPT4o and Co-Pilot to gain a footing and understanding, before taking over more of the project as I learn. Using this method, I have developed a number of applications I wouldn't previously have had the knowledge to build myself from scratch.My most advanced project to date is a Genetic Algorithm of my own design, taking principals from the NEAT algorithm. This is implemented in TensorFlow.js, and is available as a sandbox environment within my Interactive Portfolio:https://samdenton.tech/EvolutionTFNEATI would describe my knowledge base as well rounded, I spend a lot of time perusing random academic subjects that appeal to me, watching documentaries, completing online courses and tutorials etc. I spend my free time participating in extreme sports (climbing, mountain biking, skydiving, scuba diving), learning languages (Japanese, French) or researching interesting topics. I also spend a lot of time cooking and researching cooking methods from around the world.I am also a keen environmentalist and take any opportunity to engage in climate positive action. I have participated in a few voluntary programs to build public gardens and clean up outdoor spaces and spent some time in Borneo educating and building facilities. I am very conscious of my climate impact, and engage with tools like Wren, Effective Altruism and others to fund and promote climate positive projects.
