Program Technical Specialist
• Research and provide technical, analytical, and administrative support to the Bureau andMissions, including but not limited to identification of relevant studies, issues, and analyses andprogram support• Review, clear, manage clearance process for, draft and/or edit Congressionally-mandateddocuments, reports, and briefing papers on ongoing programs• Develop and facilitate quality control for official documents, such as draft testimony forcongressional hearings, talking points, and speeches for review by Director, Deputy Director, ordesk officers, and briefing memos for senior leadership• Provide logistical support for the coordination and facilitation of inter-agency working groupmeetings as well as for meetings with external partners, think tanks and donors• Respond to and track inquiries from the general public, media, and other sources aboutprograms and projects• Liaise effectively with Mission staff, interagency counterparts, and within the Agency• Track relevant policy events/conferences, such as intergovernmental meetings and when EastAsia delegates could be in Washington, DC; stay abreast of community and local events at whichUSAID should be represented, and report on these events to leadership and staff; keep theBureau informed as appropriate• Organize and compile briefing books and develop and conduct briefings as assigned• Assist Mission staff who are on temporary duty in Washington, D.C. assisting missionsenior staff with consultations as they prepare to be deployed to Post.
