At District I have balanced multiple roles in Frontend & Backend development, UI/UX design, and team leadership. Since August 2022 I have been responsible for leading a small team of highly skilled software engineers that have shipped 20+ native applications to production.Highlights:• Successfully released the new STEPtember app which reached over 100K+ downloads and is rated 4.6 stars on Apple’s app store. The campaign raised just over 8 million dollars, with app users making up over 80% of all donors.• Ensured the internal management system adheres to the ISO27001 standard, ultimately resulting in the successful certification in late 2022.• Conceptualized, built and maintained the company's internal design system, following the material design guidelines and best practices. This helped the team define and standardise visual elements across all our products.Responsibilities:• Facilitate agile ceremonies within the team to ensure efficient project management and seamless collaboration among team members.• Report directly to the company’s CEO, providing regular updates on project progress, team performance, and technical strategies.• Actively engage with clients and key stakeholders to evaluate the technical feasibility of new product features and enhancements.• Manage app releases on both the Apple App Store and Google Play Store, ensuring that our products reach users seamlessly.• Lead the architecture and development of the company's internal design system. This system serves as a foundation for consistent and user-friendly user interfaces across our products.• Managed the entire build, test, and release lifecycle across multiple repositories. This includes using tools such as Github Actions, Octopus Deploy, and AWS to streamline the deployment process, ensuring high-quality and reliable releases.• Assess the technical feasibility of UI/UX designs, helping to bridge the gap between design concepts and their practical implementation.

I worked across multiple product teams at Youi, providing Frontend development support for the Marketing Website (TypeScript, Razor templates, .NET), Claims Engine (TypeScript, Angular components, .NET), and a number of other internal products.Highlights:• Successfully developed and shipped the first version of the Youi Design System, codenamed “YODA”, that has since served as a key instrument in developing consistent accessible web applications for the company. The design system I created is a collection of internal NPM packages, consisting of design tokens, accessible Angular components, and shared stylesheets.• Solely built the header and footer components, using Razor and TypeScript, which are still used on the site today.• Shipped a large number of landing pages for the main Youi website, and built a majority of the components seen on the Youi homepage.Responsibilities:• Ensured the development and delivery of Frontend solutions across a number of business projects. I worked closely with the design team to ensure a seamless transition of knowledge between Design and Engineering teams.• Led the architecture and development of the company’s internal design system, built using Node, TypeScript, Angular, React, and CSS modules.• Managed the build, test and release life cycle for the company’s internal design system, using TeamCity and Bitbucket pipelines to automate these processes.• Optimised web applications to adhere to strict performance and accessibility guidelines.• Assessed the technical feasibility of UI/UX designs during the handover sessions.Liaised with backend developers, designers, business analysts, and technical leads on a regular basis.

Highlights:• Successfully relaunched the RACQ Trip Planner, a React and Google Maps integration that allows customers to plan trips in Australia, and show RACQ POI markers along the way.Responsibilities:• Ensured the development and delivery of Frontend solutions across a number of business projects. I worked in a large team, and took ownership of the transition from static HTML templates to React components.• Built and maintained a number of React components used across business projects, such as web forms for the enquiries flow, responsive product comparison tables, and the RACQ Trip Planner.• Built and maintained custom content models in the CMS that drives the main RACQ marketing site.• Develop web integrations with REST APIs for Google Maps, payment processors, and other third party services.• Liaise with backend developers, designers, business analysts, and technical leads as required.
