I lead device engineering for the RealWear rugged head-mounted XR devices.Lead the development Navigator 500, 520 and Navigator Z1 series of Android devices. The Z1 is RealWear's flagship Intrinsically Safe devices based on the QCS 6490, AI capable platform.I work with ODMs in China and Taiwan; My teams, based in China and India, take design concept through Prototype, EVT, DVT, PVT stages to Mass Production.

Designed Peel's patented IR technology that has shipped in Tier 1 Mobile phones from Samsung, HTC, LG, Xiaomi, Lenovo and many more OEM's and ODM's. I led Device Engineering, working with OEM's, internal teams, partner teams and component suppliers, integrating Peel's technology in Mobile phones.Technology I designed have shipped in 100's of millions of mobile phones. My work included hardware design's, Android OS integration, and working with partners for prototyping and mass production. My team supported OEMs and ODMs with component selection, firmware, device drivers, android system services, integration into production testing, application integration. I also managed the skunkworks, working on ideas in integrated optical module development, projection systems, gesture recognition, alternate uses of IR (Infra Red light), UV, Health monitoring, and remote control systems.

Led product development and design services, worked with customers, partners, suppliers and remote development teams in delivering embedded product solutions. I built partnerships with large Semiconductor companies, Software VAR’s, CM’s, and other partners to expand Mistral's presence as a premier embedded design services company.We executed strategic tie-ups with Semiconductor companies, first building reference designs for their new silicon, and then developing custom solutions for their TIER-1’s and Product OEM’s.Worked with customers to build many industry firsts; the Kopin Golden-I Head Mounted Computer, the Taser Axon Body Camera, Airline Seat Back Entertainment systems, Handheld devices, and Automotive entertainment systems

Transitioned Mistral from a services business model to a product engineering business model. Built reference designs in partnership with Semiconductor companies like TI, Freescale, Samsung, etc., that we leveraged to accelerate customer's product development and engineering programs. Built linkages with Production CM’s, and large semiconductor companies.

Merged my startup with Encore and setup an Embedded Systems Practice, building hardware and software solutions for Business and Consumer markets. Managed a team of developers working on multiple internal products and customer projects. I was responsible for System Architecture and Project execution for Simputer, SATHI, Voice over IP, Video Conferencing and other Internal and Customer Projects.
