Early employee. Conducted full circle recruiting of iOS, Android, back-end, front-end, architect, DevOps, Data Scientists, QA engineers, and full-stack engineers for the Wag App in West Hollywood & Mountain View, California. Hired and helped build out the engineering team from the ground up.Oversight for the build-out of the onboarding department during a period of rapid growth. Nation-wide, city-by-city ramp-up of supply-side (dog walkers). Wrote process and script, designed, directed, filmed, and produced, with the help of a great team, the Wag! internal new-hire safety and training video (still used today). I also was responsible for directing weekly ‘in-person’ dog-walker orientations in Los Angeles, Orange County, and Chicago while scaling the growth of our dog walkers and training employees (point people) in newly launched cities across the country. Grew from a local Los Angeles dog walking company to a nationwide service in over 120 cities within 3 years. Was a full-time employee during major capital raises (Series A, B, C, & D Rounds) totaling $368 million between 2015 - 2018. Over 100,000 dog walkers were onboarded onto the Wag platform during this time.I helped managed the hiring funnel, build the dog walker persona, QA new versions of the APP, implementation of the Wag App service into new markets, and even used many Beta versions of the iOS app to walk hundreds of hours of dogs and provide feedback on the UI and UX to help improve the customer and dog walker experience. I really enjoyed my time at Wag and view it as the best possible learning experience and real-world schooling one could receive in the area of high-growth tech startups. I value the lessons I learned and the people that gave me the opportunity to be a part of something great.
