About Sanaa J. May

Greetings, As someone who is pleased to express their leadership skills academically and during their workplace, I’m more than delighted to be presenting myself on Linkedin. My passion for Law has existed entirely throughout my childhood, as I’ve expressed my interest in involving myself in the political world through public speaking, educating myself about our society, and striving to understand how politics impacts ourselves and the world around us. Although younger people aren’t as involved in the political stability of America, politics affects us more than the average person would think and it’s vital to understand how our government works and affects us. My work ethic began at nine years old, where I started volunteering in my community’s council program. Often known as MYCC, the Madisonville Youth Community Council is a program that promotes the youth of Madisonville to support their community socially, emotionally, and physically. Although children are often paid during this program, I volunteered to plant, paint, feed the homeless, and donate to nursing homes! Today, I continue to voice my opinions and make systematic changes within my school’s policy, and with other social program, as I’m in a women’s empowerment program known as Girl’s to Women, in which I often speak publicly about growing as a woman to women of all ages, mandating school policies through my school’s Senate Team, while also volunteering at the Immigration and Refugee Law Center in Price Hill. In addition to my work ethic, I am very ambitious, as I’m ranked first of my year, and prior to being laid off from my most recent position, maintaining two jobs. I also am finishing my graduation requirements a year early, and will be taking college courses full-time during the summer and 2023-2024 school year. Additionally, I’ve just recently been accepted in the Summer Work Experience in Law Program that provides students of color who have a desire for Law during the summer.In regards to my balance of schooling, working excessively, and extracurriculars, I have great experience, as I’ve worked in customer service for 2 years, improving my soft skills! Overall, I have a great interest in communion, and I enjoy advocating for individuals with limited resources. My aspiration to make a political difference for America is what drives me to understand one’s rights in any legal situation. Please feel free to contact me regarding any of my experience.
