I am a multimedia journalist, documentary filmmaker and media researcher based in India. My research interests are media, politics, gender, identity and social justice. I explore these themes through visual storytelling and new media formats. I have produced multimedia projects and videos for Himal Southasian, Southasia Trust, International Centre for Journalists (ICFJ), LiveMint - Hindustan Times, Dainik Jagran, Oxfam India, The Wire and The Indian Express.As a Multimedia Fellow (2023) at Hri Institute of Southasian Research and Exchange, Southasia Trust, Kathmandu, I helped build a free-to-use image bank that reframes visual depiction of women and sexual violence in Southasian media. My documentary films have been screened at various national and international film festivals. I also conduct media training workshops for marginalized communities, regional journalists and workers’ rights activists.I am an alumna of AJK Mass Communication Research Centre, Jamia Millia Islamia and Aligarh Muslim University.
