- Successfully designed a sustainable and practical supercapacitor that is flexible, able to withstand a cell potential higher than the industry standard (over 2.7 V), and operates at room temperature- Conducted numerous Cyclic Voltammetry, Electrochemical Impedance Spectroscopy and Cyclic Charge Discharge tests inside a low moisture environment in order to minimize faradaic reactions- Created circuit equivalent models of the device, simulated and analyzed the data using MatLab and Excel- Designed the test and the application setup whose purpose was to show tangible evidence of the functionality of our device against other commercially available ones

- Successfully synthesized Graphene on copper and platinum substrates- Conducted quantitative studies on different Graphene growth parameters and the effects each one has on the number of layers formed- Authored a thesis paper titled “Synthesis of Single- and Few- Layer Graphene by Chemical Vapor Deposition of Methane on Copper and Platinum ”, which received a grade of 95% and was published on the UBC cIRcle database - Analyzed numerous nanomaterial samples of Nanotubes, Graphene and Graphite using Raman Spectroscopy, in association with the department of Materials Engineering at UBC- Received a training certificate and modified an existing Chemical Vapor Deposition system that led to better synthesis results, involving hands-on experience with chemical etching, vacuum plumbing & digital flow metersProject: Graphene and Porous Graphene synthesisSupervisor: Dr. Alireza Nojeh & Andrew Koch
