Sanath has acquired 30 years of professional experience in various industries, specializing in supply chain management and lean management, with a particular focus on healthcare organizations. Since 2017, he has held the position of Senior Manager at a prominent healthcare organization.He is also a certified Lean trainer specialized in healthcare and holder of both Green Belt and Black Belt certification in Lean Manufacturing, has spearheaded lean transformation initiatives at his current workplace. Trained in Japan on the Toyota Production System, he emphasizes continuous improvement (Kaizen) in productivity, cost reduction etc., Prior to his current role, he held senior positions both at local conglomerates and multinational companies. Senior Strategic Buyer at Nestle Lanka Limited in 2005. Deputy General Manager Group Procurement at Sunshine Holdings from 2006 to 2015. As Deputy General Manager Procurement at Lanka Sathosa, he centralized the procurement system making the whole process transparent. Also, was able to set up the central distribution system which was one of the biggest central distribution systems in the retail industry in Sri Lanka at that time.Apart from healthcare, Sanath has gained extensive experience in supply chain management within the manufacturing and retail sectors including multi national companies.Sanath holds an MBA in International Trade and Logistics from the Postgraduate Institute of Management, Sri Jayawardenapura University, in conjunction with the University of Canberra. He also has a bachelor’s degree in science from the University of Colombo and a Postgraduate Diploma in Business and Financial Administration from the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Sri Lanka. Additionally, he has a Graduate Diploma in Supply and Material Management. Sanath is a Green Belt and Black Belt holder from the Institute of Lean Management in Sri Lanka. Sanath has conducted training and visiting lecturing at several universities and various institutes in Supply Chain Management, International Trade and Logistics, and Lean Management.
