As a principal architect on the Global Security Architecture Team, Jamie is well known for he leadership in Cybersecurity. He is renowned as a global architecture lead for Zero Trust and more recently created a customer and partner facing Zero Trust workshop, which allowed for customers to get hands-on experience with realizing Zero Trust strategy and implementation. Jamie is an author and key contributor to Cisco’s Security Business Group and Security Policy & Access Group’s User Stories, UI/UX Reviews, PRDs, SFS, public documentation, sales and marketing literature and customer facing presentations. He also works closely with the Security CTO organization to help drive customer outcomes and better efficiency out of Cisco’s Security portfolio/platform. He is a Cisco Competitive Security Operations Group (CSOG) core member and multi-subject matter expert.Founding member of Security PrOgrammability Team (SPOT) focused on innovation using API and programming. Jamie has created projects to demonstrate the value of programmability and is a distinguished speaker at Cisco Live for Advanced Security Architecture Integrations. One example of his work is the Cisco Security Amazon Echo (Alexa) Skill, which was created to help advocate the openness and API usage of Cisco security with customers.With regard to innovations in sales methodologies and processes, Jamie has contributed substantially to Cisco’s selling and support collateral to the effect of changing the way our security technical sellers present, demonstrate and deploy Cisco solutions. His diverse technology background and technical acumen has made him a lead on integrating cybersecurity solution into other areas of Cisco’s business. For example, he has contributed substantially to Secure Access Services Edge, Secure Data Center and Secure Cloud architectures, go-to-market and validated designs. He was a core member of the SDA POV team, focused on integrating security.

In the TSA role, Jamie was a strategic leader and contributor. He was proven to be an innovator in the invention and development of new technologies. For example, Jamie was the inventor/creator of Cisco’s Rapid Threat Containment. He developed the initial proof of concept and championed the project internally with product management and engineering leaders until formal support came in Firepower Management Center and Identity Services Engine. He mentored many engineers and immediately being known by his managers and peers as someone who can get the job done and help others.Jamie key leader in Cisco Security’s Technical Advisor’s Group (TAG) organization since inception in 2012. This group represents the most senior technical security leaders inside Cisco and is a collaboration between business unit leadership(SVP) and global sales to prioritize product and architecture strategy, roadmap and go-to-market based on customer requirements. Jamie was the technical leader and field advisor for Security Policy and Access solution(Cisco ISE, AnyConnect, TrustSec), to the Business Unit PM, PMM, and Engineering teams. Jamie has been the voice of WW Sales feedback to BU since 2012. Presenting twice a year at the physical/virtual tags and providing input to the BU on new ideas, roadmap items, etc. Jamie worked closely with cross-functional groups(Development, Engineering, Sales, etc) to provide sales and technical enablement for Cisco, partners and customers globally. His proven ability to provide world-class consulting, customer service and satisfaction through excellent interpersonal, communication and problem-solving skills. He was responsible for many critical customer sales wins(greater than $100M in revenue that Jamie had a direct impact on) and was an expert at competitive opportunities. Jamie’s business acumen continued to grow and he demonstrated that he could effectively communicate from the brightest engineers and technical decision makers to CXO level individuals.

Responsible for the security go-to-market, sales, proof of values(POVs), customer satisfaction and escalation in the US Federal market. He was immediately known for being a Subject-Matter Expert(SME) for Cisco Identity Services Engine (ISE), Virtual Private Networking(VPN), Firewalls, Intrusion Prevention Systems(IPS), Web Security, Email Security, Routing and Switching Security. Based on his prior enterprise deployment experience, Jamie quickly became an escalation point for security technologies and solutions, which included firewall migrations, network access control (NAC), enterprise architecture, highly available(HA) multi-domain technology testing and evaluations. Jamie delivered multiple deployment and operational training for critical customers.

Responsible for security practice business development activities including strategic sales planning, marketing, security offering development, services methodologies, partner relationships and customer advocacy. Accountability and leadership for all pre-sales architects and delivery engineers that align with the practice. Responsible for daily operations of this SBU; including sales & pipeline administration, personnel management activities such as staffing, training, performance management and compensation. Provide in-depth technical expertise on large-scale projects for enterprise-class clients. Serves as a subject matter expert for the security practice and frequently lead webinars, seminars, and security solutions discussions. Provide leadership to obtain key IDIQ vehicles for federal procurement. Inventor and software developer of Force 3’s patent pending ActiveDefense Platform, a device used to enable security intelligence sharing and automated threat response.

Responsible for pre to post sales design, implementation and support of Infrastructure, Cloud and Security Advanced Technologies solutions. Technical management and architecture of multiple projects simultaneously. Some of the projects lead, delivered and overseen include: - Identity based networking and Network Access Control (NAC) design, deployment and knowledge transfer to many different private and public sectors organizations ranging from 10,000 to over 500,000 devices. - Security Assessment and Pentration Testing for various customers- Enterprise wide Intrusion Prevention Solution(IPS deployment. Implementation included management and monitoring of over 100 IPS Sensors worldwide.
