I’m an Electrical Engineer with 7 years of experience in both transmission systems and projects. I am Chartered Engineer in The Institution of Engineers, Sri Lanka (IESL) and Member of Engineers association Australia .Currently, I am working at APD Engineering as senior protection Engineer and play a significant role in secondary system design. I have actively participated in the commissioning with major companies such as ABB, SIEMENS, Schneider, GE, ALSTOM, NR, SEL etc. during my career. I am a chartered Engineer in IESL(Institute of Engineers in Sri Lanka)I could enhance my theoretical knowledge in power systems, short circuit analysis, system fault analysis (analytical and simulation-based), protection scheme design, commissioning and testing and relay setting calculation of different manufacturers, etc.Throughout substation commissioning of different substations, I have collaborated with local and international contractors. I think I have really improved my communication and interpersonal skills along with leadership and teamwork skills. My Previous experience includes construction and project management of two distribution level substations at Sri Lanka Ports Authority.My peers recognize me as a highly dedicated individual who can always be trusted to come up results within strict time boundaries. I am a motivated team player to obtain the optimum outcome of a task in the most efficient way. I have an MSc from the University of Moratuwa, Sri Lanka with a GPA of 4 out of 4.2 and I have a first class division in my BSc degree.
