I love writing. Especially creative writing. Focus subjects--Human Stories, Human Rights, Personal stories which can be reflected as documentation on changing time. I have been an integral part of the editorial section as well as a number of sub-brands of the most circulated Bangali daily Anandabazaar Patrika. The ABP Pvt Ltd Group which is the owner of The Telegraph and Fortune magazine also. I was given the charge of developing a special supplement for women. That led to Utsav, a product that went on from an occasional supplement to a fortnightly one, and then to a weekly issue. It was received extremely well by the target audience and in fact, created a model that was later followed by a number of other newspapers. I, with my team, planned the issues and apart from writing and editing, did a lot of networking for this product.I have contributed to a whole lot of occasional supplements on various issues. My diversity of interest and ability to communicate to a wide audience, particularly of the younger generations, have always helped me to be recognised as a very useful resource.I have contributed regularly to the opinion page of Anandabazar Patrika, recognised to be a class by itself. I have specialised in the area of Human Rights and Gender Issues. Apart from writing researched articles and interviewing experts, I have also done a number of long features based on fieldwork, including one on the victims of the 1984 riots in Delhi and one on the menace of child trafficking in the southernmost parts of West Bengal, to mention only two examples. I have also written review articles on a number of books on human rights and gender issues.In the context of a number of my assignments, I have had to work in tandem with the Brand and Marketing teams, to facilitate coordination among all stakeholders and align the different and often conflicting demands.
