Managed finances and developed sustainable sector budget for 2011-2012 and 2012-2013 school years. Implemented systematic procedure for collecting chapter-related payments and debt management. Developed, implemented and managed fundraising, resulting in over $6000 fundraised over two-year term. Regularly audited and reported on chapter and sector finances, expedited all reimbursements/payments for sector expenses, allocated funds to sector events, ensuring transparency and accountability, to assist 12 chapters in 3 regions (Northern California, Oregon, Idaho). Along with the Executive Board, led the sector to one of its most successful periods, earning the National Sector of the Year Award (2013). Organized the 2012 and 2013 Awards Banquet, and First Annual 2011 (University of Idaho) and Second Annual 2012 Northwest Conference (Cal Poly San Luis Obispo) via market research, negotiating with vendors, to book hotel rooms, ballrooms, catering, parking, etc. Provided financial management training via Financial Management & Fundraising Workshops. Facilitated monthly sector meetings and encouraged chapters to plan community service, social, and fundraising events. Participated in community service events, such a tamale making party for a workers rights organization’s fundraiser (Sacramento), “American Heart Association Nickel Drive,” school cleaning (Fresno), and holiday gift donations to foster kids.
