During the first 4 years of ISDI, we dedicated ourselves to exceeding the expectations of our students, even to the point of creating a community with its own identity, the MIBers. At that time we had the insight that a qualitative leap in the social impact of the institution was to be taken through a special commitment to our main stakeholders: the digital ecosystem (including our students, alumni and faculty) and society. This is how we created together with ISDI Board of Directors, the ISDI Foundation.Our mission is to contribute to digital empowerment through education, the development of digital skills and support for the digitalization of projects with social impact, so as to help close the digital divide.The heart and soul of our Foundation are our digital volunteers. I developed the digital volunteering model based on the participation of our alumni community in the digitalization of social projects of NGOs and social entrepreneurs.The Foundation main achievements while I've been in charge of its activities were:✓To help UNICEF to design and execute its digital transformation, training +80 of its employees, and developing a business case study together.✓To train in digital business and to develop digital strategies or projects for NGOs and social entrepreneurs like UNICEF, Ayuda en Acción, Cáritas, Hazloposible, AECC, Mckinsey Foundation, Migranodearena, Plan internacional, FAD, Fundación Ana Bella, among others.✓To train in digital business +300 unemployed young people with 80% of employability guaranteed, designed from scratch together with Mckinsey Foundation.✓To become a DQ Ambassador and participate in the first international report of DQ Institute and World Economic Forum about Digital Skills for kids.✓To translate David Calle-Unicoos' videos to Arab language so as to help immigrant and refugee kids and young to better integrate into Spanish educational system. ✓To partner with AWS to train kids in Arduino technology programs.
