As a determined and driven individual, I made the move from Hobart to Melbourne at 19, knowing no one in the city. Now, I am on the verge of completing my law and criminology degrees at Monash University. My journey has been diverse and enriching, encompassing a broad spectrum of work experiences—from hospitality roles in cafes, bars, and management, to my current position working remotely for a digital marketing agency. Additionally, my legal experience includes working in the field of tax law, providing me with practical insights into the profession, and volunteering at the Victorian Aboriginal Legal Service where I continue to learn about the far-reaching impacts legal matters have on clients’ lives. A highlight of my academic career was spending three months studying at Monash's campus in Prato, Italy. Balancing work to fund this trip while managing my living expenses in Melbourne honed my organisational and financial management skills. I am known for being personable and empathetic, qualities that complement my strong academic and professional drive.Volunteering has also been a significant part of my life. I have contributed to the Monash Boardriders' Club by coordinating social events and volunteered at the Victorian Aboriginal Legal Service as a Client Feedback Volunteer. I have coached numerous underage hockey teams and supported students through the Smith Family Peer2Peer Reading Program, showing my strong commitment to the education and support of younger students. Outside of academics and work, I am passionate about AFL, snowboarding, and surfing, and I manage to balance these interests with my professional commitments effectively. My educational journey began at St Michael's Collegiate in Hobart, where I received various academic awards and subject prizes.I am passionate about contributing positively to the legal field, driven by a sense of privilege and a commitment to making a difference. My interests include advocating for LGBTQI equality and environmental sustainability. Moving interstate and establishing myself in Melbourne has been a challenging but rewarding experience, and I am excited to continue growing both personally and professionally.
