I have been an academic for more than eleven years. I possess more than nine years of tertiary teaching experience, and more than seven years of which are post-masters degree experience. I have taught at Fiji National University (FNU) for 6½ years and almost 3 years at USP. I am upgrading my qualification to "Doctor of Philosophy in Mathematics" programme at USP. In the last decade, I have worked effectively as a valuable team member in my department, contributing significantly towards the targets set at whichever institution I was. Moreover, I have built excellent working relationships with colleagues and customers (students) over these years, ensuring productivity and motivation. This confirms my competencies of customer centricity, teamwork, and building rapport. I played between a progressivist (student-centered) and a classical educator for students from multicultural backgrounds over these years. I have good experience in distance and flexible learning as all the courses that I have taught at USP were in both face-to-face and online modes. During my USP tenure, I am effectively reaching out to my online students (whether they were regional, remote, or from VISP Cohort and STAP) enrolled in my courses through BBB and Zoom. I had also collaborated with support sections such as SLS for students that required that extra help, such ARS. When needed, I do not hesitate to go that extra mile, such as taking sessions on Saturdays to improve students' analytic and problem-solving skills. I have communicated about 25 research articles, twenty-one have been published in highly ranked journals and conference proceedings, while the others are still under review. I govern a healthy h-index in SCOPUS. This ensures good report and research expertise.
