515 Army Base Workshop is an ISO 9001:2008 certified manufacturing plant responsible for manufacture of spare parts for weapons and equipment of Indian Army in addition to manufacture of Simulators for training for the Indian Army, Navy & Airforce. Responsibilities include: Complete Production Planning & Control, Work and Job Floor Scheduling. Smooth running, maintenance, upkeep, procurement and upgradation of large range of machinery ranging from conventional machines to CNC machining centers. Responsible for Methods & Engineering Division tasked to carry out reverse engineering and methodisation for production of large range (approximately 1500) of spare parts. Material procurement & tendering of outsourced work involving budget of 1200 crore rupees annually. Quality Assurance and process control. Smooth functioning of IT Systems & Network infrastructure of the complete establishments

The Establishment (615 EME Battallion) consists of Seven workshops each providing complete life-cycle management all the equipment, in the complete range and depth, of all types of forces in the Indian Army. Responsibilities:  Planning of equipment management for hi-tech multifarious equipment intensive military organisations with Equipment profile ranging from Weapons, Guns & Armaments, Tanks, Vehicles, Communication, IT & Networking Equipment.  Management of Inventory of 11000 SKUs of various spares for the entire equipment range. Procurement of spares from domestic agencies as well as sourcing ex-India, to include customs handling.  Resourceful Fund Management with a budget of 2000 million rupees annually, on equipment maintenance and administrative functions.  Multi-level vendor management, including contract management, for technical and non-technical contracts.  Administration of the organisation (800 personnel) to include HR functions and man management, facilities management, documentation, infrastructure development, training, discipline, legal functions etc.  Consultative role to senior commanders on all matters related to equipment combat readiness and worthiness.

The Corps of Electronics and Mechanical Engineers (EME) does complete life-cycle management all the equipment, in the complete range and depth, of all types of forces in the Indian Army. It operates workshops with the competence to carry out in-situ repairs to base overhaul and equipment refit in a factory or OEM module. Responsibilities:  Planning of equipment management for hi-tech multifarious equipment intensive military organisations.  Technical repair, maintenance and customer support to machinery and weaponry of military stakeholders.  Procurement of spares from domestic agencies as well as sourcing ex-India, to include customs handling.  Resourceful Fund Management upto 500 million rupees annually, on equipment maintenance and administrative functions.  Multi-level vendor management, including contract management, for technical and non-technical contracts.  Administration of an organisation (250 personnel) to include HR functions and man management, facilities management, documentation, infrastructure development, training, discipline, legal functions etc.  Consultative role to senior commanders on all matters related to equipment combat readiness and worthiness.Awarded General Officer Commanding – in – Chiefs Commendation Card for excellent performance.

MS Branch is the most prestigious department of the Army Headquarters responsible for HR management of all Indian Army Officers (approximately 40000 employees) from recruitment to retirement/discharge including performance appraisals, deployments and promotions. Responsibilities: System administration, security and operations of the data center and network infrastructure hosting highly mission critical confidential data of Indian Army requiring 99.999 % uptime. Responsible for administration of HP UX based server infrastructure hosting Oracle Databases in HA Mode (RAC) with offsite real time DR based on Oracle Data Guard. Responsible for heading multiple software development projects using agile, devops and scrum methodology. The responsibility included requirement gathering, signoffs, development using technology stacks as varied as Unix Scripts, ProC and C++, Java, JSP, Javascript and Ajax to VB.NET and subsequent operations and running of the applications. Headed project to migrate approximately 200 legacy applications in COBOL and other legacy platforms to modern technology stacks over a period of three years. Responsible for development of analytical models to guide performance appraisals, promotions and deployments of all officers of Indian Army. Advise the senior management on all aspects of Data Analysis and technology related to HR functions. Management of integrated turnkey IT projects, project management of software development by third party and conducting IT training.Awarded Vishisht Seva Medal by President of India (Third highest military distinguished service award) and Chief of Army Staff Commendation Card for the projects to migrate legacy applications and database to modern technology stack and conceptualising and implementing real time disaster recovery solution for the mission critical applications and systems.
