As a current PhD candidate at the University of Massachusetts Lowell, my work focuses on Meals Ready to Eat food packaging films for military applications. Also, I am working on AMBIC project in collaboration with John Hopkins University where my work is to explore new characterization techniques to study stability of cell media. Before joining PhD program, I started my industrial career by working in Amcor R&D team in India where I worked on packaging films used in different sectors. Some of my main projects at amcor include sustainable monolayer laminates for tubing applications, sustainable monolayer PE based film’s for laundry applications, MDO PE films for personal care applications. During my academic and industrial journey I have learned about new materials and processing techniques.I have on hands experience on FTIR, AFM, Goniometer, WVTR, OTR, DSC, Flash DSC, TGA, DMA, QCM-D. I am looking forward to add new techniques in the coming years.
