Led the acquisition of IntelliSense from Corning. Responsible for turning around the company to profitability and 100% year over year growth. In 2006, IntelliSense received the 'Enabling Technology of the Year' award from Frost and Sullivan and was named as one of the top 20 Micro/Nano suppliers.Roles include strategic marketing and sales of software and IP solutions, channel development and general management. Expanded operational presence to China and India and sales presence into over 30 countries. Developed a customer base with electronics and automotive firms in Japan, Taiwan,China and India.Negotiated Multimillion dollar IP and hardware development contracts with customers. Setup working relationships and fabless supply chain with foundries worldwide.

Post acquisition, managed a research and development team of over 40 people. Prospected, developed and sold multi-million dollar development and manufacturing contracts.

As head of the Hardware Business Unit at IntelliSense, Sandeep helped IntelliSense rapidly grow from a startup to its eventual acquisition at a valuation of $750 M. Among his accomplishments at IntelliSense include managing the first pure-play MEMS foundry and custom development of a wide array of micro-devices. His roles at IntelliSense encompassed all aspects of technology and business development, marketing and sales, and customer liaison.Bootstrapped on DARPA funds, consulting, and commercial contracts, IntelliSense's still remains a benchmark on how to 'make it' in the MEMS industry.
