Sandipani is a Director of Academics at Amrutha Bindu Yoga. His teachings emphasize applying yogapractices to everyday living, eastern philosophy and mysticism.He started his martial arts training when he was very young. At the age of 13, his martial arts practice intensified,and he started participating in tournaments professionally. During this phase, Sandipani used to be in lot of pain, and have many injuries. That's when he turned towards yoga to help him balance and heal.Life’s circumstances made Sandipani drop-out of school in the 8th grade in order to support his family.Now, yoga practice was a means for his emotional expression. He then started getting curious about thefull potential of yoga practice and explored different styles under many teachers. He studied vinyasakrama, ashtanga vinyasa, Iyengar yoga, Bihar School practices and was introduced. He discovered thatproper alignment and breathing pattern leads to a complete sense of well-being, no matter what ishappening outside.At around 17, Sandipani started working as a networking engineer. At work, he found a lot of peoplewho were stressed. He would help them in his free time by teaching yoga and martial arts. He soonrealized that he resonated more with teaching and not before long he made the jump to teaching yogafull-time. Having had an extensive yoga education, he started taking yoga classes for groups, corporates, personal one-on-one sessions, workshops, etc. He evolved to mentor and teach budding yoga teachers as well. In 2011, he was also one of the founding teachers of Bangalore's largest chain of yoga studio under the name of a1000Yoga.In 2014, he started his own yoga school, Amrutha Bindu Yoga, in order to build a community aroundtraditional yoga practice and make it accessible to everybody. Sandipani has taught over 30,000 hours of yoga and has trained over 550 yoga teachers in the past 15 years, counselling and coaching people on life skills through yoga
