The DevOps group builds Teaching and Learning applications, Integrations, and services required for the campus community.Reinvented data strategy within RTL, by architecting and implementing a flexible, and robust ELT-based Learning Data Lake ecosystem on AWS, delivering performant analytics and learning insights to RTL applications. The Learning Data Lake supports a myriad of ingest options both streaming and batch, data cataloging, variety of big-data compute pipelines running Spark, Redshift, Athena(Presto), etc., job scheduling and workflow management, to support performant data transformation and analytics sensemaking in higher education domain. Use case supported include Campus Academic Advising workflows, Student Success and Learning Analytics platforms, Education Data Mining, Data anonymization, Data concierge services for Researchers, etc.

Perform data analysis, data preparation and data mining operations to identify trends in higher education data and target ways to improve retention rate in colleges.Worked under principle investigators and led a team of graduate students for the Open Academic Analytics Initiative(OAAI) grant, funded by Bill and Melinda gates foundation, to develop predictive models to analyze and deduce student performance during the semester.

The aims of the Apereo Learning Analytics Initiative (Apereo LAI) are to accelerate the operationalization of Learning Analytics software and frameworks, support the validation of analytics pilots across institutions, and working together so as to avoid duplication.The initiative is led by Marist College, University of Amsterdam and Unicon. The team is currently working in collaboration with Society of Learning Analytics Research (SoLAR) and is focused on building the first of its kind "Open source Learning Analytics Platform" to further and operationalize the learning analytics research space.
