Sandepani School is an ICSE syllabus School established in 2004, with a vision to establish a stress free and innovative model of education. The institution maintains one of the lowest teacher to student ratios of roughly 1:8 for realizing its educational model premised on concept development and Fundamental and applied intellectual developmental goals for which we believe that Individual attention is absolutely necessary. In 2008, even the government of India took note of the importance in steering Indian education system away from a rigid institutional framework to that of a process approach through the introduction of Continuous and Comprehensive Evaluation under the Right to Education Act 2005. However, the initiative did not seem success. Instead of adopting innovative methods of classroom learning and conceptualizing the curriculum based on Concept development, the institutions all over the country interpreted CCE as a system of continuously subjecting children to written examinations. This not only increased the stress of the students, but rather served to equate educational outcomes with that of Examinations. Sandepani's educational approaches of conceptual empowerment and stress free education are ever relevant and vital in a changing world like ours where rote learning and educational approaches based on retention and knowledge accumulation are fast loosing relevance and the basis of measuring excellence is shifting to a more intangible realization of creativity, emotional intelligence and other skills necessary to analyse the knowledge in our fingertip.
