Private Equity Portfolio Management

 Investment Specialists at Robeco Asset Management, the €140 billion mandates and fund asset management center of -at that time- Rabobank Group.  The Investment Specialists team acts as the linking pin between portfolio managers and Sales. We join sales managers in presenting our investment capabilities to institutional and distribution clients across the world and help internal departments with complex content-related questions. We provide sales arguments and material, and train internal and external clients. In case of high-profile market developments, we inform our sales colleagues about the view of our portfolio managers and possible consequences for their portfolios. This way, we allow the portfolio managers to focus on portfolio management and achieving performance, and Sales to concentrate on obtaining cash flow.Member of Robeco's Talent Network.

Investment Strategist / Macro Economist Working in the Policy & Strategy team along with 3 Strategists in the Asset Management branch of the €13 bln pension fund for railworkers and the external €2 bln fund for public transport bus drivers. My role was to develop and implement strategic, macro economic and thematic views regarding the investment policy. My tasks include giving economic input for ALM studies, macro economic analysis and assessing financial markets and products. Guiding the tactical asset allocation and being a sparring partner to the portfolio managers were part of the role.

 Advising Charlemagne Capital on marketing the Dutch market and media; writing columns on hedge funds in The Financial Analyst; writing property analyses on 70 municipalities for PropertyNL, a leading Dutch property magazine; writing web texts for Keijser, a start-up manager-of-funds / fund supermarket, liaised to Tetralog and Financial Participations Amsterdam.

 Tactical Asset Allocation and implementation by selection of indextrackers and investment funds for the retail clients of Borghols, a small, independent, young asset management company For our manager-of-funds approach at our sister company Vierlander Effecten the strategist there and I were responsible for selecting funds. I was a member of the weekly Investment Committee meeting and responsible for the input and minutes. Part of my task was also writing their quarterly reports.

 Working in the Research department with 8 equity analysts and a fixed income analyst / investment strategist Analysis for external retail clients, financial advisers and the press, and internally for Equity Sales Preparing and presenting the input for the asset allocation decision to the Investment Committee, of which I was a member; the asset allocation was used for the internal asset management department.
