Sander Kapinga is educated as Engineer Applied Physics (Energy) and is accredited in 1998 as Registered Energy Consultant (Dutch Chapter Association of Energy Engineers). In the area of Energy Engineering, Environment and Economics he has more than 25 years of experience. Sander is independent consultant and owner of the firm.As a consultant Sander held several positions at leading firms such as Tebodin Consulting Engineers, Fichtner-Oranjewoud, and GfE energy management.Since 1997 he is active on the international energy market. Several large international companies, such as food companies, refineries and chemical industries were supported by Sander (also as international manager) and his team in the area of energy and utilities. Knowlegde of the national and international energy markets combined with energy engineering background and experience is therefor one of the core competences of Sander.Since 2007 ECM has been developing large energy and cost management systems for multisite companies. The architecture of the system is based on the knowledge and experience of Sander in energy management, legislation and the energy market. Together with ICT professionals ECM created a state of the art system that is used by large companies in The Netherlands. Since 2012 smart metering is integrated with the system through a data acquisition system and consumption database. A growing number of companies is using the ECM Energy Management System.
