In this role I worked on the development of a 'probecard tester'. A 'probecard' is a card for which the probes are used to test the dies on a wafer, from which Integrated Circuits are manufactured. The probecard tester is used to make sure that the electrical and physical requirements are met and the probecard tester assists with correcting the probecard where needed.I wrote the embedded controller software for the 3 axis motor with camera and measurement probe.I also wrote part of the client software which assisted the operator of the probecard tester with collecting test results and correcting the probecard.

In this role I used a Matlab model to create an application for optimising line arrays. The application (C++) was created so that it could be used without Matlab, thus writing a computer program installable by the user.The Matlab model was created during my thesis period.A line array is an array of sound sources forming a closed line. Line arrays are used in the audio industry to gain control over both sound quality and level.
