BM-Change is a strategy and innovation consultancy firm. As owner of BM-Change I help businesses to stay relevant by supporting them with the design, management and innovation of their business model . Next to that, I am involved in research in the areas of technology driven business transformations and business ecosystems.

Working in the team Business Innovation on Business Model Innovation and Connected Media. In this role Sander has prepared studies for the organisation of a product for number portability and a clearing house for electric vehicles. For various customers, he has prepared innovation workshops in which the possibilities of new technologies for specific customer domains were discussed.Open innovation projects Sander has been involved in are:Nederland opent Data: A group of Dutch organisation has started research of the opportunities of Open Data for the creative industry. Sander led the business model design team which studies the effects of Open Data on services and business models. First results have been presented on the ICT Delta congress 2011.DITCM: A Dutch consortium of industry partners, knowledge institutes and governmental organisations has started a feasibility study for a shared test centre for smart mobility systems. Sander has participated in the development of the business plan and has conducted a study of the logistics market in relation to intelligent transport services. SPITS: Within the SPITS project, a Dutch consortium of industry partners, universities and knowledge Institutes have been working on a strategic platform for intelligent transport systems. Sander has led the business model design team which designed new services, business models and a market engagement strategy for coöperative driving services. ITVT/iNEM4U: In this research project, various European companies collaboratively developed architectures for a technology platform for sharing media experiences over multiple domains (mobile, TV and Internet). Sander has led the business model design team which designed new business models and business ecosystems enabled by this new platform.

Sander has worked on first-of-a-kind product development and research projects in various domains. As project manager he was responsible for the initiation, organization, communication, budget, planning and tracking, of various international (research) software development projects. Example projects are:Eagle. In the Eagle project responsible for managing the development of controller board software for a high-end autonomous vacuum cleaner.Freeband, B@Home. Responsible for the development of a demonstrator, showing 2-screen TV concepts. Demonstrated the prototype at various shows e.g. ITU in Hong Kong.iTV-softwarelab. Responsible for the deployment and operation of an in-house softwarelab, specialised in interactive TV projects for European customers.Philips PDSL. Responsible for the planning and tracking of the software maintenance team of 15 engineers. This team provided technical software support on 2 million digital set-top boxes deployed in six European countries and developed spin-off products for new customers.

In various projects responsible for design, implementation and test of software modules for a money deposit system and set-top boxes.

As a game developer responsible for the development of new game concepts for slot machines for the European market.
