Contributed to the stabilisation of the situation on the ground following the August 2008 conflict in Georgia. Monitored full compliance by all sides with the EU brokered Six-Point Agreement of 12 August, signed by both Georgia and Russia, and the Agreement on Implementing Measures of 8 September 2008, worked as Reporting Officer writing daily and weekly reports and presenting presentations. Gender Focal point coordinating all gender related issues within a Field Office.

The Hague

Focal point for cases involving human trafficking, responsible for a province in The Netherlands with regard to the activities of the Repatriation and Departure Service such as liaising with local authorities and stakeholders. Coordinate the work of 5 staff members in that area on the return and departure of rejected asylum seekers, provide them with feedback, consult on decisions to take, adjust work instructions, work procedures and policies. Ensure uniformity in the implementations and interpretation of regulations and policies, and contribute to learning programmes.

Assisted in strengthening the municipal administration as a democratic institution, ensured proper implementation of UNMIK regulations, monitored local authorities, promoted minority and gender representation, liaised with other international organisations and NGOs, and lobbied the donor community.

Project coordinator for a Greek NGO working on a project to close an IDP camp and to provide the IDPs with a sustainable solution (encompassed housing, delivery of basic items and income generating options), reported on the progress of the project to the donor and other stakeholders, and wrote project proposals.

Supervised the safe and free the return of Internally Displaced Persons, advocated to create conducive circumstances to return, monitored the situation in the enclaves, and contributed to position papers.

This is a law firm that is representing the State of the Netherlands in all legal fields. I worked for the immigration law section. My work mainly consisted of preparation of asylum cases and writing pleadings and the collection of information about countries of origin and refugees involved.
