CooLagotronics Aug 2009 - Mar 2011Aged 26, I was asked for the role of Operational Director and Change agent, with back-up by a veteran CEO. Reorganising the company from 75FTE to 35FTE due to the financial crisis with a resolute, but entrepreneurial and business focussed approach led to great successes in the years to follow. Active in cost control, sales enablement and daily management of between 35 and 75 colleagues.On the operational side, Sales and marketing within Lagotronics were my core tasks for over six years, knowing the organization inside out was a big benefit when taking a very active part in re-structuring the company. Maintaining key-accounts, setting up new marketing initiatives and maintaining the company result (35 FTE) was the biggest challenge for me personally. Joining two colleagues, we worked hard to align and implement existing and new MarCom processes, initiatives and intelligence. In a team of three young enthusiasts, we quickly developed and implemented various new lead generation programs, using market research and strong, targeted campaigns to reach large parts of the Dutch lighting business with an attractive and appealing proposition.Whilst growing our business by supplying qualified leads to the sales team, I spend an equal amount of time on developing a digital order management system, in B2C terms called ‘webshop’. This quickly grew out to become the most important and flexible ways to reach our audience and sell our products online. As a business analyst and economic I ensured that the system and process were aligned as good as possible, cutting the number of steps to sell and deliver a product in half, resulting in reduced overhead costs, and enabling the customer back-office to spend more time on qualifying leads or improving the customer intimacy and satisfaction.
