I've been actively engaged in the Dutch startup ecosystem for over a decade. My involvement is driven by a deep passion for startup innovation and entrepreneurship, particularly in the agri-food and tech sectors. I frequently serve as a speaker on these topics and provide support to fellow founders, focusing especially on founder resilience and fundraising.Having worked in multiple supporting roles at YES!Delft, Seedblink, and DutchSE, I have organized numerous events and programs to support starting entrepreneurs. Having started many projects myself, I know both the ups and downs of becoming an entrepreneur.For six and a half years, I was the founder and CEO of Krekerij, a company committed to transforming perceptions of crickets and grasshoppers by creating tasty and appealing products for the food service industry. We collaborated with researchers at Wageningen University to develop proprietary techniques for creating insect-based meat products. Additionally, we secured venture funding to scale up these processes in our own FSSC-22000-certified production facility, allowing us to distribute our products on a large scale to the sustainable food service industry through wholesalers.
