I am a water professional, active in coastal- and river Morphodynamics, flood safety and water management. I have affinity with climate change issues and climate adaptation pathways.I characterize as analytical ideator, curious learner and relator. It makes my day to dive into some abstract problem and come up with some creative solution. I am working for the water authority Hoogheemraadschap van Rijnland as advisor water quantity. I like to make the world a little better. In 2016 I participated in the traineeship with nonprofit organization "Improve the world" where we started the Foodprint5000 campaign to improve climate awareness and reduce carbon emissions among 5000 people. In 2018 I got the chance to participate with the Dutch Surge Support (DSS) as expert in the feasibility study of a drinking water reservoir in Nayapara refugee camp in Bangladesh and in 2020 remote support for floodrisk management in refugee camps in Sudan.
