Groendus is a leading company in the energy transition towards a clean and renewable future. In my role as Commercial Project Developer I am helping companies on industrial estates to form Energy Hubs. By working together these companies can make maximum use of their gridconnections to allow more clean energy production and the electrification of their work process.

Together with my team of accountmanagers we support the local and cooperative energy communities movement in the Netherlands.

Greenchoice believes in an energy transition that is powered by local energy cooperations. In the team Customer Projects we provide support to these initiatives to execute projects quicker and more efficiently. The locally produced energy can then be delivered to our local customers. Our ultimate goals is to have a local energy project available for each Greenchoice customer. Real green energy for everyone!

Since my start at Fresh Food Technology I have always worked closely together with Van Amerongen CA technology. I joined VA in the management of the Sales and Service department due to my role in the ERP implementation project. Because of my research background I will also be part of the R&D team of VA.

The job as International Project Manager is challenging as well as versatile. I am responsible for international sales of turn-key projects in the Agro-food sector. The management of the consultancy and implementation phases is also a part of my job. We set up projects focussed on farmer owned companies. With our help they are able to obtain control over their value chain. Poverty alleviation through business development. Furthermore I am responsible for the Indian office in New Delhi and supporting the South Asian Sales. I work closely together with Van Amerongen CA technology and b-Cat bv for alternate low oxygen applications.

This research project was focussed on the effect of grazing lawns on the vigilance of large African herbivores. The first month I wrote a research proposal in preparation for my field studies. The location of my research was the Welgevonden Private Game Reserve in South-Africa. I gained extensive knowledge on grass determination, animal observations and working in a potentially dangerous animal environment. On my return to the Netherlands I did a comprehensive statistical analysis on my data.

I looked at the stress response of Arabidopsis thaliana while under shade avoidance and pathogen stress. I gained practical experience on lab work while working with the plants and bacteria. I did pathogen bio assays, tested end perfected a new inoculation method, tested and perfected the growing of plants in high density environments.
