Sandhya Atkinson is the Founder / Lead Facilitator of Sagebrush Ltd., facilitating inclusive organizational transformation through shared vision, systems change and the participatory development of interconnected and resilient teams and communities. Sandhya provides dynamic facilitation from her home base in Bayfield, CO on the unceded traditional lands of the Nuuchiu (Ute), Diné, Jicarilla Apache and Pueblos peoples. With a BS in Environmental Science from Colorado College, Sandhya has lived in Colorado since 2005 and Durango/Bayfield since 2010, serving as an Executive Director for over five years. Sandhya is a member of the International Association of Facilitators, is trained in Technology of Participation (ToP) Facilitation and Strategic Planning methods, including Mastering ToP; is a nonprofit consultant with the SW Colorado Small Business Development Center; a graduate of Leadership La Plata ’22 and graduate of the Community Resource Center’s Nonprofit Leadership & Management program. • Provides program intake, outreach, communication and customer service for over 200 low income weatherization clients across the 5 county region of Southwest Colorado• Gives presentations to community members on home energy savings and low cost weatherization methods• Developed a client prioritization scheme to better serve vulnerable clients which was recognized by the Colorado Energy Office as a best practice amongst state Weatherization Assistance agencies • Performs all weatherization scheduling with subcontractors and nonprofit partners• Provided customer service and communication for low income weatherization clients across the five county region of Southwest Colorado• Participated in the DOE’s Weatherization Plus Health Regional Conference in San Diego, California in November 2011 to learn about healthy homes and improving indoor air quality for vulnerable populations• Participated in many functions of the non-profit, including creating reports and graphs to be used in grant applications, tracking clients and monthly production, recording minutes at Board meetings• Procured and reviewed Requests for Bid from subcontractors for large multifamily weatherization projects and general services• Participated in five staff hiring processes, including review of applications and resumes, interviews and selections
