Associate Research Scientist
CurrentResponsible for performing experiments related to the in vivo research program aimed at testing, implementing, and improving therapeutic approaches for treating neurodegenerative diseases with an emphasis on Parkinson’s disease.Involve in conducting studies and experiments, data analysis, working with other scientists and supervising junior staff members, and creating SOPs, technical reports, presentations, and publications.Responsible for handling animals (small rodents primarily), performing procedures (i.e., surgery, behavioral studies, anesthesia, pain management, euthanasia, etc.), and deriving organotypic slices from tissues.Handling cell cultures, harvesting, and counting using manual and automatic methods.Supervising the performance of cell and molecular biology procedures, including PCR, recombination, cloning, western blot, cell signaling (including exosomes and soluble factors), etc.Histological assessments procedures, including tissue processing, embedding, sectioning, and staining (H&E, immunohistochemistry, immunofluorescence)
