My position reports directly to the CEO and is accountable for all HR activities for CGH Medical Center's Hospital and 17 surrounding clinics. Additionally I am responsible for the HR functions at the Cancer Treatment Center on a consultative basis. My position includes planning, implementation and coordination of all HR functions: Recruitment strategies, retention strategies, development and administration of wage, salary and benefits; worker's compensation; staff education and development; employee/occupational health programs, change management; performance management system, management coaching and employee relations including discipline and union labor relations and negotiations.

Global HR role responsible for HR systems, learning and development and the implementation of global performance and talent management for all Genus employees and businesses. Selected and implemented a business focused global HRIS system including Learning Management, Performance Management, Talent & Succession, Recruitment, Reward and HR Database. Developed user training materials in nine languages and deployed the modules into all owned businesses. Developed and implemented four Academies within ABS and PIC to standardize and increase the quality of training delivered across two important business disciplines, allowing us to develop core competencies and skills within our current key account and technical service teams as well as provide transparent career paths to potential recruits. Sponsored and managed implementation of a global intranet, to enable global communication and collaboration across countries and lines of business and to foster one company culture.

Global HR role responsible for all HR functions within owned businesses across 30+ countries for both ABS & PIC businesses. Established five regional shared service HR centers to provide regional and local HR support to the ABS & PIC businesses driving efficiencies through shared service HR and process improvement. Provided strategic HR and support to the COO and global leadership team. Worked with CEO to develop global succession plan for leadership team and key senior leaders. Developed and implemented global standards for policies, systems, reporting, performance management, recruitment and retention, compensation and benefits, and health & safety. Established global Health & Safety department with local business support to increase awareness and reduce overall risk and cost to the business. Introduced a global H&S System to increase global support, connectivity and accident reporting in an effort to reduce frequent accidents and improve employee safety.

Regional GM role responsible for the development and implementation of business strategy, sales forecast and annual budget for a $68m revenue business. Managed sales force of 700+ which included employees and independent representatives and support staff of approximately 30 employees. Restructured North American business to withstand the 60 year market low and de-risk key areas of the business. commissioned the first customer survey and utilized the findings to develop customer segmentation and the value offering for each segment. Reduced year over year expenses through profit improvement plans and vendor negotiations saving $5m annual expense. Established and implemented diagnostic business scorecard to measure business results including revenue genneration efforts and expense management projects. Hired permanent GM replacement and transitioned business and strategy to him to complete the turnaround.

Regional HR role responsible for all HR & legal functions in North & South America for both ABS & PIC owned businesses. Led the HR support during the PIC acquisition and worked with the COO to successfully merge PIC into the Genus business. Led the post acquisition strategic planning and integration including the implementation of a shared service regional HR structure to support both ABS & PIC businesses within the Americas. Combined and managed all benefit plans, compensation, HR policies and practices, along with strategic and day-to-day HR support for both North American businesses. Established HR coverage for South American within owned businesses and set up shared service center to support both ABS & PIC businesses in South America. Managed legal function and served as liaison between business and external counsel for all legal matters including employee relations, trademarks, immigration, legal entity, D&O matters, contracts, and legal compliance.

Directly responbsible for $3.1m sales territory in southern Minnesota, including service and promotion of our specific line of products, plot tours, product information meetings for growers and partnership meetings with retail clients. Responsible for sales of three major product lines including herbicides, fungicides and insecticides. Developed and established good customer relationships to gain new accounts in previously held competitive retail clients. Successfully launched new product and more than doubled sales in second year. Founded and helped develop local end-user club to help increase market share in the no-till market.
