I transitioned in January 2016 as a full-time Pre/Post Award Research Coordinator to part-time Research Assistant supporting nursing research conducted by the principal investigator. Maintains a thorough understanding of data collection instruments and collecting data accurately according to protocol into electronic databases (EPIC, REDCap). I also coordinate IU's School of Nursing research studies in OnCore a Clinical Research Management System (CRMS) developed by Forte Research Systems, Inc. It was developed in collaboration with leading research organizations and is widely adopted by academic medical centers, cancer centers and health care systems alike. OnCore is currently being utilized by Indiana University in collaboration with our key research partners to record, manage and report on data associated with the operation of clinical research.

Provide secretarial duties for the Executive Associate Dean for Research, Associate Dean for Research, Director for Statistical Sevices, and Program Manager for Behavioral Oncology Training Grants.Requires ability to operate computer using various type of word processing (Office 2010) and spreadsheets (Excel) and manage 4 calendars using Outlook. Plan and coordinate two conference each year.Coordinate speakers (external and internal) for monthly Cancer Control & Prevention meetings held at the IU Simon Cancer Center.Knowledge of IU purchasing, travel,financial systems and student information systems.Requires ability to keep current on new skills related to field.Requires ability to apply knowledge of department functions and specialized terminology applicable to the department.Requires analytical skills and the ability to work with financial figures.
