Special Olympics Nebraska is a non-profit organization that changes lives through the power of sport by encouraging and empowering people with intellectual disabilities, promoting acceptance for all, and fostering communities of understanding and respect across the state.

The University of Nebraska Foundation is a separate 501(c)(3) fundraisingarm of the University of Nebraska. As a development officer I am responsible for building and cultivating relationships with alumni in order to match a donor’s philanthropic interest with needs on campus. This requires me to manage relationships both internally and externally to best meet the needs and interests of all parties. I have closed gifts ranging in size from $25,000 - $5 million to date.

I was responsible for maintaining student enrollment, implementing retention plans, creating and offering corporate packages for employers and managing a staff of 10-12 teachers and office staff.

I worked for a division called “Helping Client’s Succeed” that offered a 3 day seminar on consultative sales techniques. I was responsible for coordinating between the sales managers, event planners, presenters, and clients for ongoing training of sales staff.
