Citizens For Animal Protection, founded in 1972, is committed to sheltering, rescuing and placing homeless animals in loving homes; advocating respect and compassion for all animal life; providing humane education to prevent animal cruelty; and raising awareness in the community of the needs of animals.

Accountable for all aspects of fundraising and donor relations including: prospect identification, research, cultivation, proposal development, writing, submission and tracking, grant reporting and stewardship.• Drafted and implemented a strategic plan for all development tasks, to raise $1.5 million annually. • Researched, wrote and submitted grants from foundation funding to corporate grants, resulting in $300,000 of funding in 2016.• Successfully researched, identified and invited support from existing and new partnerships with organizations, agencies and individuals to generate financial support and individual engagement.• Played a key role, with Chief Executive Officer, in securing nearly $2.35 million towards capital campaign to purchase and renovate first-ever permanent home.• Planned, supervised and executed all aspects of fundraising events, exceeding financial goals and participation levels for most events, raising more than $500,000 each year.• Worked closely with Board of Directors, advisory boards and committees to plan and implement long and short term goals.• Successfully transitioned to new grant management software to increase efficiency and accuracy of grant process workflow.• Drafted and implemented a strategic plan for all marketing and communication activities to raise and expand community awareness for ESCAPE’s mission. • Responsible for all marketing efforts, including message development, media relations, branding, marketing, social media, website, and the creation of all ESCAPE’s collateral materials and electronic communication.• Managed all volunteer activities to support ongoing and new fundraising and capital campaign activities. For example, a brand-new family walk event was planned in less than nine weeks and raised more than $22,000, engaging more than 150 participants.
