Senior Graphic Designer

• Coordinate the design of development communications projects needed to support efforts of DAR, determining which design most effectively communicates the message. Simultaneously managing the design and deliverables on multiple creative projects (e.g. invitations, brochures, type treatments, fundraising mailers) with specific timelines, budget constraints and branding guidelines considered. This may include concept and design for new initiatives, as well as collaboration with the digital design team to ensure best cross-platform design strategies. • Directs photography shoots with university and freelance photographers to develop the look for photography needed in print and digital pieces. Works with the subjects of photography sessions (students, faculty, alumni and donors) to capture the best images while putting them at ease during the shoot to create high-end, high-impact pieces.• Work with in-house digital designers and web programmers to ensure pieces work effectively in both print and digital media.

• Develop design materials (e.g. invitations, ads, invites, brochures, type treatments, fundraising mailers) to support efforts across the department in areas such as alumni relations, annual giving, major giving and campaign planning. Including working with printers and mail houses (internal and external) on the most cost-effective paper and printing options.
