This project included replacing hardware and software used for internet egress and web filtering company-wide. My testing included web-browing security, whitelists and web filtering capabilities. This project team had never had a dedicated QA resource before and I educated them on QA methodologies and best practices, and helped them clarify their requirements and acceptance criteria.

Mentored new and contract testers on the team to ensure their success.Some of the projects I worked on included: * Complete re-write of application search functionality. Testing on this project had to validate new functionality and confirm that cases migrated from earlier versions could be converted and function properly in the new version. I was the Test Lead on the migration portion of this project, and was responsible for testing and QA sign-off through hand-off, deployment and post-deployment support.* Major re-write/re-skin of the entire application. Testing on this exciting and fast-paced project required writing all new test cases from limited and constantly changing specifications. * Unicode compatibility release. This project added support for both single- and double-byte special characters, with emphasis on CJK language support. Testing was a challenge due to the fact that none of us spoke the languages we were testing, and required a lot of creativity and adaptability. * SQL 2008 upgrade. Performed comprehensive regression testing for this project. Most existing test cases were outdated and required research and re-writing to reflect current application behavior and expectations.Worked independently with little day-to-day supervision needed.
