From Port Shepstone Ezinqoleni, Sandile Khawula started singing in primary school when he was in his early grades. Sandile used to perform in the school assembly to entertain learners and teachers and his favourite performances was when he did songs by the well-known Chicco Thwala. This is when he realized that there is a great potential for him to dedicate himself in making music his lifetime career. In 2002 he decided to join school choir which performed classical genre. The school choir competed in the Arts and Culture motivated event for schools to showcase their different talents and his school was always the best due to the passion and dedication they had in the choir. Also he started a Group named ‘’Amazing’’ which was the group which performed in churches, community gatherings, weddings and funerals. This group together with school group made it easy for him to score many trophies when performing for the Love Life Awareness Events. Sandile further realised that in order to shine and be acknowledge you have to move away from the crowd. This encouraged him to do an album (Gospel Genre) with his brother Mbo Khawula; titled ‘’Hlala Nathi’’. They promoted this album in local churches and in events which held by the community of Port Shepstone. Sandile Khawula is no just a singer alone; he is a Song Writer, Producer (produced his album and other upcoming Gospel Artists) and works as Sound Engineer for the uprising studio (Carwoolar Productions) which he works with this brother (Mbo Khawula). Longing for the best motivated Sandile to take his music career to the next level that’s when he decided to do a solo album which is titled ‘’Isimanga Somuntu’’ basically meaning an Amazing Person where here he refers to God as an amazing saviour who love us all unconditionally regardless of how we challenge him through sin.
