This disconnect leads to a situation where almost 2 million graduates and half a million postgraduates in India are unemployed. Shockingly, around 47% of graduates are deemed unsuitable for any industry role.The problem worsens with higher education. While youth unemployment at the primary level hovers around 3.6%, it jumps to 8% at the graduate level and a staggering 9.3% at the postgraduate level.
